An Ordinary Tuesday

Tuesday.  Ordinary moments that felt extraordinary.

1) I was asleep when Craig kissed me goodbye this morning.  As he did, he reached over and pinched the stone on my engagement ring and then pressed it down against my finger.

2) I lost my temper because it took Sam too long to put on his shoes.  “Just do things when I ask you to do them! Why does it take you so long to do such a simple thing?  We’re going to be late!”  Minutes later, as we walked out to the car, he simply said “Please don’t be angry with me, Mommy.”  And I said “I’m not” and I meant it.

3) Driving in the car with Henry to run an errand and he started laughing and then said to no one in particular and in reference to I don’t know what, “Ha!  It punny.”  I asked “What’s funny, bud?”  And he just shook his head and said in a quiet voice “No.”
